YOU, AGAIN will be out in the world in 69 days so this seems like an auspicious moment to send out my first newsletter substack, right? Obviously this timing was completely intentional.
✨EXTRA SPECIAL ARC GIVEAWAY✨
I’m not going to make you read a personal essay here. This is not a circa-2016 recipe blog. But I do want to let you know about an extra-EXTRA special giveaway I’m running that will include a physical ARC, and a box of extra-meaningful little extras related to the book. I’ve been teasing some of these on my Instagram.

Now, if you have not read an advance copy yet, you might be wondering “what is all this crap?” That’s why I’m also sending a signed and personalized advanced copy of the book. Read that first and you will understand why an As Seen on TV vacuum accessory is actually a symbol of true love.
How to Enter:
❤️ Like this post (above) about the Goodreads giveaway (it’s the most recent reel on my Instagram account)
💌 Share it to your stories
👯♂️ Tag a friend who shares your taste in books…because if you win, I’ll send them an ARC too!
👬👫 Tag more friends for one additional entry each.
Open internationally! Ends Sunday, July 9 at 12 pm EST
Goodreads Giveaway:
If you’re in the U.S., go ahead and enter the Goodreads giveaway, too, because why not? (Note that the GR giveaway ends on July 6th, but I think you’ll be notified for the next GR giveaway.)
Cool thing that just happened:
You, Again was featured in last week’s profile of The Novel Neighbor in USA Today…along with the awesome news that USA Today is relaunching their bestseller list.
I’m visiting The Novel Neighbor (an incredible store) next week to attend Julie Soto’s event celebrating Forget Me Not. If you haven’t pre-ordered it, correct that mistake now. No one is doing it like Julie and this Persuasion-inspired book gives me all the butterflies.
Cool thing that just happened, part 2:
The Dial Press and Random House dream team hosted the coolest event at Alamo Drafthouse in NYC last month. I did a little Q&A with Camille Kellogg (who wrote one of my new book obsessions, Just As You Are) and we watched When Harry Met Sally on the big screen (something I’d never done, despite seeing this film more than any other human). They had popcorn and black and white cookies and ARCs…and I might have grabbed a couple extra copies of Kate Robb’s This Spells Love for a future giveaway. I’m so lucky to have such an awesome team working on this book.
Coming Up:
A When Harry Met Sally commentary track recorded by moi? Ridiculous, but true. And possibly some kind of live watch party? All I know is that I have plenty of Billy Crystal thoughts to share and I want to watch this movie remotely with at least one other person just like Ari and Josh watch The Expendables.
With Twitter being…Twitter, I’m concerned about one of my favorite works being inaccessible. At the beginning of Covid, I created a text fic told in pictures of post-it notes and it was an incredibly fun way to tell a story. I’ve created a downloadable version and will make it available to my substack subscribers.
And finally:
I saw Past Lives last week and broke down in cathartic sobs as the credits rolled. If, like me, you have a mild obsession with the Before trilogy, you need to see this film.
